Across the Hall Trailer

I stumbled across this trailer a few minutes ago on BD
and it looks incredibly suspenseful. Brittany Murphy looking hot is apparently cheating on her husband who finds out and steals his bestfriends gun ( who is no other then Eric Rivers from Grind) to make an example of her.. And things just get more intense from there.. Check it out

Stepfather

Dylan Walsh, in most roles I've seen him play has always come across as a "nice guy" which he plays in this movie like the original but seeing the "other" side played by Walsh really was shocking.. and I mean that in a good way. Walsh is one sick fucker in the remake of this classic 70's suspense/thriller. The PG-13 rating does keep this movie from potential that would make it more entertaining for the slasher fans (like myself) out there. Don't get me wrong this movie is wayyy under rated for what it is. In the remake category it is probably lacking a few key elements that hinder away from keeping this one like the original (rating being my key note here). Overall I enjoyed this movie very much, it has a solid story and a great cast. Penn Badgley plays a great role and steps up as a man should when a raving psycho is trying to bone your mom. I recommend this movie for anyone who wants to see a classic remake done well... oh and of course if you want to see the sexy Amber Heard in her undies and in a skimpy bikini GROWWWWL:

Paranormal Activity Review

The handheld camera shots done in horror movies over the past 10 years has grown and originality is always hard to come by. This movie like a lot of the Japanese and Spanish films not yet released in America shows just that. Fans of Rec. and of course world famous "the Blair Witch Project" (which was the movie that inspired Oren Peli to write PA.) will enjoy this film simply for the "whats going?" effect these movies have added to horror. Paranormal Activity definitely has its ups and downs and the first half of the movie teases you with little hauntings and builds up to the good stuff at the end. Personally its hard to find movies that scare me, and I have seen my fair share of horror movies. Also I do tend to like slasher flicks but of course as a horror fan I always have a soft spot for ghost stories.. Although this is not that. Paranormal Activity follows the story of a couple Micha and Katie, and Katie in the movie is haunted to the point of being possessed by a demon. Now with that being said .. as a low budget horror film this movie will freak you out. Katie's encounters with this entity get more and more serious to the point where it actually interacts with her. The movies build up is everything and the little shadows didn't scare me as much as the footprints in the baby powder on the floor and when Katie gets pulled from bed out the room, down the hall screaming. Low budget film making at its finest. If you really want a good scaring go see this because thats what it will do..

Jennifer's Body Review

Out of most of the horror movies I was/have seen this year I was not expecting to enjoy "Jennifer's Body" as much as I did. Lets get the basics of why this movie was good, the soundtrack for one. This movie has a ton of good music which was surprising to me. Its not a kill, kill, kill kind of horror movie but more so a very present day B-Rate movie. Some of the one-liners in the movie are just priceless. The story follows Jennifer's best friend trying to stop Jennifer from eating all the boy in the town. Its gets pretty bloody and the ending is fuckign awesome. I don't want to post any spoilers from this movie, I do recommend anyone who likes demon b-rate movies to definitley go see this one. I want to see it again ASAP!!!
did I mention you see Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried make out pretty hardcore in this movie? and again the ending is just awesome. 8skulls hands down for this movie.

Sorrority Row Review

Any time a horror movie has hot girls, murder and senseless nudity it pretty much means its hitting every major point in horror movie awesomeness. Although I wasen't too happy with how this particular movie ended I enjoyed Sorority Row for 3 main reason (no not the 3 I listed in the first sentence)Those reasons being:
1) Original Murder Scenes-
The death scenes in Sorority Row were pretty original, some of them you will have seen in other movies but I felt that for and american made horror movie in a college atomsphere it has some great and very creative murdering. Also to touch on that the weapon the killer uses is not only something you expect but at the same time something you don't expect. Kudos to SR for that!!!
2) Plot Twists-
You always are wondering in the movie "who is the killer?" and at one point your expecting one person of being that killer and 3 plot changes later your totally in the dark as to who it is. Now I will say that when you do find out who the killer is you may be kind of disappointed.. well atleast I was but I will give it to them, They did leave me guessing on to who to blame for the murders.
3) Finally as lame as a reason this is - Openning to a sequel-
Yes this movie is left wide open for a sequel, and yes this one wasen't all it was cracked up to be but they can do some serious fucking awesome shit for a sequel.. that of course means they'd have to do it right.

Overall, some of the acting is fairly rough (thats to be expected from a star taken from Mtv's the Hills) but its still worth seeing. Although if your really trying to get a scare factor to your maximum this is not the movie for that, this is more of a fun "chickflick horror" take your girlfriend to see and if shes like mine.. then she'll be scared. I'm being generous when I give it this rating but 7 skulls for this one.

Dark Room Theater Double Feature looks surprisingly funny..

Apple.com always has some awesome trailers to check out, in my search of the newest (as of every friday/wednesday) I came across Dark Room Theater. It has a very Tales from the Crypt esq feel to it.. of course in a very B Movie feel. This is what Apple.com Synopsis said about it:
Dark Room Theater is a double feature in the vein of The Twilight Zone, about ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary, usually supernatural, situations, using both ironic and comic twists. The show is hosted by an animated character entitled Dr. Brainly, a brain that lives in a glass beaker from an experiment gone wrong or right depending on your point of view.

Todd McFarlane's Haunt is finally here!!!

The long anticipated comic collaberation of Robert Kirkman and Todd McFarlane has finally been put in to pressing. The first issue being released by Image Comics (most famous for McFarlanes SPAWN) will hit sometime in October and is going to be hot!!!
The title centers on a pair of brothers, Kurt and Daniel Kilgore, who couldn't care less for one another. Kurt, a secret agent, and Daniel, a less than holy priest, bond in a way neither of them expects after Kurt's untimely death. A surprise fusing of Kurt's ghost with Daniel's body creates a chain reaction, turning the brothers into the character, Haunt.
Kirkman had alot to say about Haunt and working with McFarlane calling it "a dream come true".. reserve your first copy at your local comic shop today!!

Blood of Killers is a look in to the mind of..Killers

Another book to check out is Blood of Killers by Gerard Houarner.

Visions.. a book you gotta ... SEE!

I apologize to all my readers out there in horror land for my lack of updates the past few weeks. I have also been slacking with the Horror Heroes on Friday but will be rebooting them starting this Friday!!

The end of August marks a few major points during the year.. The end of summer.. The beginning of fall .. and of course
The Countdown to HALLOWEEN!!!
So its only appropriate that with the coming of Halloween we see more movies, more comics and of course more books in the genres of horror. One coming out September 29th is Lawrence C. Connolly's Visions. A book of short stories in the realms of Science Ficion and the surreal fantasies where eerie things can happen. Check out what Horror.com had to say about it:

For three decades, Lawrence C. Connolly has defied category, writing across genre to create stories where dreams are reality, the future is now, and a lone madman may be the sanest person in the room.

Presented here with all new introductions that discuss the origins of the stories and featuring a retrospective essay about the road to publication and beyond, Visions: Fantasy & SF is a must for lovers of dark fantasy, science fiction, and heroic adventure.

Rob Zombies Halloween 2 review

***WARNING-SPOILERS AHEAD***

Can I first start off by saying this, I was a big fan of the first Halloween Zombie did. With that being said I was also a fan of the original series where Michael was killing the entire Myers family. This film seemed to go in the direction of Myers being a bottom line serial killer. Which by all means isn't bad but it didn't feel like a Halloween. Zombie hit the nail on the head in the the first film, but this one was more of a crappy story to get his wife in the film.. The idea of having Michael see his mother and her leading him to kill is kind of lame but could be pulled off if Zombie had done a better job with that part of the story. When watching you get the feeling that she is telling Michael to do all these bad things. I think the movie itself could have done without all of that and it would have made the film ten times better. Dr. Lumis you find out in the first ten minutes isn't dead and has a new book that pisses off a lot of the characters in the movie. Revealing to all that the main girl "Angel" is in fact Michael's little sister, who can't one good nights sleep due to freaky dreams of being murdered by her brother. Lumis the whole movie is promoting his book (I would read it) and trying to convince the public that Michael Myers is dead. Only to by the end of the movie find out he isn't dead and feels the compelling need to fulfill his destiny and bring down that evil that is MM. I won't ruin the ending just incase any of you decide to go see it. Overall I give Halloween 2 ...
6 out of 10 skulls..

Blair Witch 3???

A screenplay is currently be written for a 3rd Blair Witch movie. Now not much has been said for this project but a few ideas are being tossed around. One being that it will take place in a 1930's or earlier time era with grainy looking film which sounds awesome. I personally wasen't a fan of the second movie but the first played its part and scared me before I found out it was fake. With that being said I am very interested to see what happens with this movie...

Thanksgiving is coming, and I don't mean the holiday!

Inglorious Bastards star Eli Roth is not only known for his roles as Nazi-Killing badass WW2 soldiers but also as a badass screen writer. Although this won't be his next flick BD.com got the scoop on whats going down and here is what Roth had to say:

"My co-writer Jeff [Rendell] just landed yesterday in Los Angeles. He flew out for the premiere and so we can finish the script, Eli tells us adding that it won't be coming anytime in the near future. "I don't want to do it as my next film but I want to get the script finished. The sci-fi film, Endangered Species, is what I'm doing next."

Hopefully we will be seeing this at some point next year but its good to know its coming...

DVD Release you should definitely check out!!

I try to find DVD releases that really stand out and not a lot has been coming out this summer that has really caught my attention aside from the big box office movies. Although when it comes to B-rate movies I get picky.. you don't want to have a too ridiculous horror movie. But this week the Grindhouse release of a horror movie Christmas Double feature I couldn't turn away from.. Psycho-Santa and Satan Claus. One of my favorite types of horror movies (in the B family) are holiday slashers. I don't really need to paste a synopsis for these two movies because if you don't really know what will be going on in these movies then you fail at life. But my birthday is on sunday and seeing as no one in there right mind would buy me this as a birthday present I will be getting myself an early present..

Don't Look Up Official Trailer and all the gore you Love!

This movie might have all the delicious gore some horror fans love, but for the others fans such as myself who like horror more for the scare factor rather then the over the top gore.. well then this might not be up your alley. Either way check it out, this is the official trailer for the gore over load movie called "Don't Look Up" don't have a release date yet but I can imagine this will be a straight to DVD so keep your eyes peeled in the near future for this ..

Trailer for Grace is up and its intense!!!

So doing my usual weekly look at the new trailers on apple.com I found the trailer for "Grace" coming out on August 14th (in select theaters of course). This one is gonna be an intense mind fuck if you will.. heres the synopsis taken from apple.com:

Eight months pregnant, Madeline Matheson deflects her demanding mother-in-law’s insistent pressure for standard hospital treatment, instead opting for the peaceful companionship of a trusted midwife. Though reluctantly compliant, her husband remains supportive of her choices until a sudden tragic accident leaves her unborn baby lifeless inside of her. Madeline remains determined to carry the stillborn baby to term, where she miraculously wills the delivered corpse into life. But it is not too long before the increasingly isolated mother realizes that something is not right with baby Grace, and she must make horrible sacrifices to keep her living.

Horror Hero of the Week!!! JASON

Don't worry the next Friday the 13th isn't until November of this year, but to pay much deserved respect to a film/tv and most recently comic, todays Horror Hero is none other then the machete/ax/knife...(well you get the idea) wielding slasher Jason Voorhees. Starting off the movies his mother was killing off camp counselors and campies for lack of attention to her swimming son. Not soon after, Jason made his was (and revenge) by doing the same thing. In the comics Jason is an undead zombie like charater.. hes not eating brains and body parts but not one person can seem to kill him.. or stop his killing rampage. Happy Horror Friday to you Jason Voorhees, may all your killing and entertainment to your many fans never die...

Horror Hero of the Week

Our Horror Hero for this week is no other then the original Horror Hero, Ghost Rider of Marvel Comics.

Ghost Rider has superhuman strength and durability, as well as the ability to project and control Hellfire, which can sear the soul as well as burn the flesh. He can shape his Hellfire into a mystical motorcycle capable of traveling over water and up vertical surfaces. He is also immune to any mystical attacks that are specific to beings with living souls.

Blaze is a world-class cyclist capable of seemingly impossible stunts. He is also an excellent shot with pistols and shotguns and has limited knowledge of the occult.

When Blaze becomes the Ghost Rider he has complete control over a Hellfire Enchanted Chain which is nigh-indestuctible.

Look for Ghost Rider Comics from Marvel Comics every week.

Machete!!

So if you remember the trailer for the movie Machete from the iconic Grindhouse movie of 2007? Where Danny Trejo played the ...well machete wielding monster was killing like crazy! (my kind of movie) Well its in the making with a rumored stellar line-up. Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis are teaming up to begin filming Machete on July 29th. They are co-directors.
Here are the people we have heard to be playing in it:
DANNY TREJO is returning (obviously) as "Machete", the madman bent on revenge.-
MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ ("Lost", Fast & Furious, Avatar) is said to be playing "Luz".-
JONAH HILL, the comedian who has starred in such films as Superbad will play "Julio
ROBERT DE NIRO, will take on the role of "Senator McLaughlin".
Here is the synopsis taken from bloody-disgusting.com
Machete is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. The film was teased as a faux trailer that was directed by Robert Rodriguez in Dimension Films' Grindhouse, which featured a full-length film from both Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

here is that trailer taken from grindhouse for those of you dying to see it in action (THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL TRAILER):

Nicholas Cage talks about Ghostrider sequel..

In the video below, Nicholas Cage talks about one of our favorite Horror Heroes and the Sequel to the 2007 movie. I was actually a fan of this movie.. which isn't saying much I tend to like a lot of bad movies :-P check it out!!!

World War Z UPDATE!!!!

Matthew Michael Carnahan, who is best known for his screen writing of "STATE OF PLAY" and "THE KINGDOM" has got his hands on the book to movie adaptation of "World War Z". Max Brooks the writer of this awesome novel is very excited to see Carnahan get this out of the hands of Michael Straczynski who was originally the script writer ( you know him if you've ever seen Bablyon 5). Brooks said this about the change: “They say it’s a positive move because they’re very excited, but the truth is, it’s also positive because they just paid him a buttload of money, and [with] the money they paid him, the money they paid Straczynski and they money they’ve paid me, they’ve really dug themselves a deep hole, so they better make this thing!" The movie is being developed by Paramount Pictures and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Production.. more info to come.

Stephen King's Cell becoming a mini-series?1?

John Harrison, the guy who turned Clive Barker's BOOK OF BLOOD is writing a four-hour miniseries based on Stephen King’s CELL. The book where the population of America is transformed into mindless, rampaging killers by a signal sent through their cell phones.Harrison is scripting CELL for the Weinstein Company, which had originally wanted to turn the book into a theatrical feature but decided against those plans and will be presenting the project to networks instead. Harrison has worked on works by King before such as assistant director/composer on "CREEPSHOW" and "TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE" , Harrison also said he considers CELL one of King’s best books. "With an opening chapter that will make an incredible first 30 minutes on screen." He also added that he doesn’t see this as a zombie story but more so as a "VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED-esque chiller" in his words. He also said he enjoys the fact that the infected population possesses a hive-like mentality. While he hasn't been officially said to direct, he would certainly like to. You can log on to Bloody-Disgusting for exclusive video of Harrison discussing Clive Barkers "BOOK OF BLOOD", "CELL" and other projects..

Wolfman reshooting.

Benicio Del Toro starring at "The Wolfman" has been rumored to be doing six weeks of re-shooting. The re-shoots are to give the present design of the wolfman a fiercer look. This is only good news for us fans, Joe Johnston’s working harder then ever to make sure we will not be disappointed in our horror classic redo. Here is the Synopsis taken from IMDB.com:
"Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father, Talbot sets out to find his brother... and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate."

Horror Hero!!!!

Today's Horror Hero is Morpheus of Vertigo Comics, The Sandman. Known as the who is essentially the anthropomorchic personification of dreams. At the start of the series, Morpheus is captured by an occult ritual and held prisoner for 70 years. Morpheus escapes in the modern day and, after revenging himself upon his captors, sets about rebuilding his kingdom, which has fallen into disrepair in his absence. Gaiman himself has summarized the plot of the series (in the foreword to Endless Night) as "The Lord of Dreams learns that one must change or die, and makes his decision."

Check out Neil Gaimans "The Sandman" from Vertigo Comics

Pandorum 2nd trailer released

I saw the first trailer not to long ago for "Pandorum", and I was pretty sure then I would go see it. Apple.com has released the 2nd trailer for "Pandorum" and in glorious HD. Well this movie looks like its gonna be awesome for a few reasons .. its got an awesome cast. Dennis Quad and Ben Foster (he was the pierced guy from the Punisher w/ Thomas Jane, he also played Angel in X3) are the 2 main stars in the movie waking up to a abandon spaceship that has something else aboard. The trailer seems to show they find Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down) as a bloody beaten spaceman whose stories (I can't tell yet) will make him a good guy... or bad.. either way "Click Here" to check out trailer 2 and give me some feed back!!!

The Stand American Nightmare #4

The battle of Good and Evil wages on in Marvel Comics continuation of Stephen King's The Stand. The fourth enstalment of the story has survivors of the Captains Trip Plague chosing sides. I haven't gotten a chance to check this series out but I loved The Stand and Marvel Comics has had a lot of success on King's book adaptations.

check out the hot poster for Jennifer's Body!!!

Bloody-Disgusting has got to be one of my favorite sources for new stuff in the horror scene. They posted today the new one sheet for "Jennifer's Body" starring the super hot .. and sexy Megan Fox. I'll save you the movie talk and just tell you to click on the image to see it in high res. Yeah I'll admit it .. I'm only going to see it because of her..

The End... of Wolverine???

Marvel Comics, has released this image of Wolverine with his face half ripped to the metal skull. Does this mean the charaters demise is coming soon?? As a fan of Wolverine for many years this very graphic redintion of Wolverine has never been done.. what this does do is give us hope for a graphic slasher-esq finish of the character if that is what Marvel Comics plans to do. Either way (whether killing him or not) an image like this will send fans running to the stands in the next few months. I can almost guarantee that this will have the gore we always wanted to see out of a Wolverine comic. I'll post more as soon as I know more.

I chose my favorite from the 3 to post. BD says" the slasher follows the story of handyman and ex-con Arkin, who aims to repay a debt to his ex-wife by robbing his new employer’s country home. Unfortunately for Arkin, a far worse enemy has already laid claim to the property – and the family. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked “Collector” in a maze of lethal invention – the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg – while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob."

Horror Hero of the Week

Terror From Terror Inc.

error has the ability to replace lost body parts (hand, feet, arms, legs, eyes, ears, nose, etc.) with limbs and organs taken from other organisms. He secretes a natural acid that serves as both solvent and glue: the substance loosens the connective tissues in the target body, allowing him to more easily rend the parts he needs; even if reduced to a head, torso and single arm, this allows Terror to gain enough leverage to remove the needed parts. Once that is accomplished, the substance then helps bond the purloined limbs or organs to Terror's body. The 10" spikes on his cheeks on both sides of his face can be removed and used as weapons, and if lost or damaged will regrow. He has greenish yellow skin, pronounced sharpened canine teeth, and a face resembling a nearly naked skull without lips or eyelids. He also has a metal glove encasing the hermetically sealed hand of a deceased lover.

Upon grafting the new pieces to his body, Terror becomes immediately aware of the previous owner's last memories and strongest emotions, including sights, sounds, or sensations which they once experienced. In some cases this is a liability, and he must ignore this knowledge to complete his task. The MAX imprint version of Terror had used animal parts for a time after his original body rotted away, turning himself into a satyr-like creature.

In addition to memories, Terror gains the skills and abilities of the person or being to whom the "borrowed" part belongs. Though he normally uses human parts, Terror has been known to use anything that he considers useful, even parts which he himself does not normally possess such as large wings or a prehensile tail. The same holds true for parts taken from super powered beings, though the power must be related to the body part claimed.

Though the body parts bond permanently with Terror, they are still dead tissue and will begin to decay at their natural rate. This gives Terror a distinctive odor, and also forces him to seek a constant supply of replacements.

Since his body is dead, many conventional attacks have no effect on Terror. He can survive being impaled, crushed or drowned. The only limit is injuries that incapacitate or restrict him physically.

It is unclear what, if anything is the "controlling" section of Terror. The only thing not shown to be replaced over the course of his appearances has been his head, which the MAX version of Terror can detach from body and affix onto another. He can use this new head as a disguise, changing his appearance and voice, and he is able to access the memory of the former owner of that brain without that victim's personality taking over Terror's. Apparently, the mystical ritual used to seal Talita's arm in a mystical armor transferred the "centre" in the arm itself: Terror has shown the ability to stay functional even if separated from it, but accelerating dramatically his rotting rate, and losing his ability to resist the personality and emotions lingering in his replaced limbs. If left with no access to Talita's arm for a longer time, he would rot to nothingness after succumbing to the personalities contained in his mismatched limbs.

Mothers Day Remake is underway..

"Jennifer's Body" Stills are looking goooood..

So Bloody-Disgusting had posted some scans from the newest issue of Empire magazine, which had these pictures of Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried's new movie "Jennifer's Body". The synopisis is either gonna make this movie really freaking awesome or totally bad. Either way I plan to see it. Did I mention the story was written by Diablo Cody (shes the chick that wrote Juno)
Well anyways heres the Synopsis:
The story of a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation.

Season of the Witch. MARCH!!

Nicholas Cage, Ron Perlman, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Foy, Robbie Sheehan and Stephen Grahan all star in the up coming movie "Season of the Witch" by Lionsgate. The story for this movie is a group of knights in 14th century France who must transport a woman accused of witchcraft to a mountain abbey, where the monks will seek to understand and destroy her powers, believed to be the source of the Black Plague. Its an interesting story and its said to come out March 19, 2010

Asylum Press Comics

B-rated horror movies are probably one of my favorite things ever. Its got the gore, the humor and the bad acting. What more could you really ask for in a movie? Well lurking the internet while board at work I have found B-rated comic. Asylum Press has been printing comics of the horror genre since 2000 and has recently been getting more and more buzz with such titles as:
"The Bomb"
"Horror Noir"
"Undead Evil"
and more. Check them out "HERE" and give me some feed back. I have an order in for a few of these gems and will let you know what I think as well.

Trick' R Treat site is up..

Said to be one of the best halloween movies to come out in the past 30 years, "Trick r Treat" has the look horror fans love. Check out the site for the DVD release here .

This Synopsis is taken from Fangoria.com:

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem... the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety-human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year.

Dylan Walsh still cutting up in Stepfather.

I was huge in to "Nip/Tuck" when it hit. After a few seasons the show got weirder and weirder. So when I heard Dylan Walsh (Dr. Sean McNamara) was playing a killer in the up coming film "Stepfather" I was surprised so I scooped up the trailer and it definitely didn't disappoint. Check it out.

American Werewolf remake???

Dimension Films has been super busy with remakes this year so far. The second part of the Halloween story is coming out and Hellraiser on the way, but John Landis selling the rights to "American Werewolf in London" remake to Dimension?!? this can only be good news for all us gore loving movie buffs right? I sure hope, with the downturn the Twilight series has given the Vampire and Werewolf lovers in the world, a remake of this film will surely get the spooks back in some fans. Check out Bloody-Disgusting for the full story.

Sorority Row remake is looking surprisingly good..

Remakes are definitely going balls out in '09 and this weekend I saw this trailer for "Sorority Row" which looked surprisingly awesome. Its a slasher flick based off the 1983 "House on Sorority Row" . Heres the Synopsis taken from IMDB.com :
college juniors CASSIDY (Briana Evigan), JESSICA (Leah Pipes), CLAIRE (Jamie Chung), ELLIE (Rumer Willis) and MEGAN (Audrina Patridge) are sorority sisters sworn to trust, secrecy and solidarity, no matter what. But their loyalty is tested when a prank at a raucous house party goes terribly wrong and Megan ends up brutally murdered. Rather than confess to the crime and risk destroying their bright futures, the girls agree to hide the bloody corpse and keep their secret forever.

Fast forward one year to graduation. As they prepare to say goodbye to the house and each other, the girls plan one last alcohol-fueled bash on Sorority Row, confident their dark secret remains buried. But does it? As the party rages in the front yard, the bedrooms and the hot tub, the girls receive cell phone videos taken the night of Megan's murder from an anonymous sender who threatens to forward the videos to the police. Then, one by one, the sisters and their unsuspecting boyfriends are stalked by an unseen killer.

Has Megan returned from the dead to exact her revenge? Or was their secret discovered by someone else someone now determined to make them pay? Trapped, the girls race to figure out which of them let their secret slip, who wants them dead, and how to fight back as the bodies pile up and their beloved sorority house explodes into flames. A heart-stopping climax reveals the killer's shocking identity in this suspenseful, hip and sexy remake of the 1983 classic horror thriller.

the only draw back of this film that I can see is that Audrina Patridge is in it, but I could be wrong. Either way you can be sure I'll be going to see this slasher flick which comes out September 09 of this year.
