"Jennifer's Body" Stills are looking goooood..

So Bloody-Disgusting had posted some scans from the newest issue of Empire magazine, which had these pictures of Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried's new movie "Jennifer's Body". The synopisis is either gonna make this movie really freaking awesome or totally bad. Either way I plan to see it. Did I mention the story was written by Diablo Cody (shes the chick that wrote Juno)
Well anyways heres the Synopsis:
The story of a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation.

Season of the Witch. MARCH!!

Nicholas Cage, Ron Perlman, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Foy, Robbie Sheehan and Stephen Grahan all star in the up coming movie "Season of the Witch" by Lionsgate. The story for this movie is a group of knights in 14th century France who must transport a woman accused of witchcraft to a mountain abbey, where the monks will seek to understand and destroy her powers, believed to be the source of the Black Plague. Its an interesting story and its said to come out March 19, 2010

Asylum Press Comics

B-rated horror movies are probably one of my favorite things ever. Its got the gore, the humor and the bad acting. What more could you really ask for in a movie? Well lurking the internet while board at work I have found B-rated comic. Asylum Press has been printing comics of the horror genre since 2000 and has recently been getting more and more buzz with such titles as:
"The Bomb"
"Horror Noir"
"Undead Evil"
and more. Check them out "HERE" and give me some feed back. I have an order in for a few of these gems and will let you know what I think as well.

Trick' R Treat site is up..

Said to be one of the best halloween movies to come out in the past 30 years, "Trick r Treat" has the look horror fans love. Check out the site for the DVD release here .

This Synopsis is taken from Fangoria.com:

It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem... the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety-human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year.

Dylan Walsh still cutting up in Stepfather.

I was huge in to "Nip/Tuck" when it hit. After a few seasons the show got weirder and weirder. So when I heard Dylan Walsh (Dr. Sean McNamara) was playing a killer in the up coming film "Stepfather" I was surprised so I scooped up the trailer and it definitely didn't disappoint. Check it out.

American Werewolf remake???

Dimension Films has been super busy with remakes this year so far. The second part of the Halloween story is coming out and Hellraiser on the way, but John Landis selling the rights to "American Werewolf in London" remake to Dimension?!? this can only be good news for all us gore loving movie buffs right? I sure hope, with the downturn the Twilight series has given the Vampire and Werewolf lovers in the world, a remake of this film will surely get the spooks back in some fans. Check out Bloody-Disgusting for the full story.

Sorority Row remake is looking surprisingly good..

Remakes are definitely going balls out in '09 and this weekend I saw this trailer for "Sorority Row" which looked surprisingly awesome. Its a slasher flick based off the 1983 "House on Sorority Row" . Heres the Synopsis taken from IMDB.com :
college juniors CASSIDY (Briana Evigan), JESSICA (Leah Pipes), CLAIRE (Jamie Chung), ELLIE (Rumer Willis) and MEGAN (Audrina Patridge) are sorority sisters sworn to trust, secrecy and solidarity, no matter what. But their loyalty is tested when a prank at a raucous house party goes terribly wrong and Megan ends up brutally murdered. Rather than confess to the crime and risk destroying their bright futures, the girls agree to hide the bloody corpse and keep their secret forever.

Fast forward one year to graduation. As they prepare to say goodbye to the house and each other, the girls plan one last alcohol-fueled bash on Sorority Row, confident their dark secret remains buried. But does it? As the party rages in the front yard, the bedrooms and the hot tub, the girls receive cell phone videos taken the night of Megan's murder from an anonymous sender who threatens to forward the videos to the police. Then, one by one, the sisters and their unsuspecting boyfriends are stalked by an unseen killer.

Has Megan returned from the dead to exact her revenge? Or was their secret discovered by someone else someone now determined to make them pay? Trapped, the girls race to figure out which of them let their secret slip, who wants them dead, and how to fight back as the bodies pile up and their beloved sorority house explodes into flames. A heart-stopping climax reveals the killer's shocking identity in this suspenseful, hip and sexy remake of the 1983 classic horror thriller.

the only draw back of this film that I can see is that Audrina Patridge is in it, but I could be wrong. Either way you can be sure I'll be going to see this slasher flick which comes out September 09 of this year.

Teen Wolf hits TV??

So some of us may have heard of the "Teen Wolf" movie remake coming out sometime in 09/10. Well Variety has spread the word that VIACOM/Mtv will be doing a "Teen Wolf" series that will directly play in to the movie. Now don't let this ruin the experience for you because Exec producer Rene Echevarria who has worked on the 4400, Star Trek and Dark Angel will be on this project not to mention Jeff Davis ("Criminal Minds") is the writer! So what does this mean for the show? Well Mtv wants to have "..a greater emphasis on romance, horror and werewolf mythology." No date on when the show will air but we can expect more news to come later.
I just saw the trailer for "Daybreakers" which comes out January 2010. I'll post the trailer soon but this movie has a strong cast and the story looks incredible. Heres what IMDB.com had posted:

In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

Woody Killing Zombies.. what more could you ask for???

This movie looks amazing. enough said.

DC Comics starts a new series in the Green Lantern comics this July that have a lot of comic fans on there knees in anticipation. Blackest Night a series by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis brings the battle of lights to a new level where the Green Lanterns square off against a multi-color Lantern army . The Black Lanterns are going to be the head villians for this series and if you don't know the Black Rings are said to bring the dead back to life. In Blackest Night #0 we see Black Hand dig up Batmans corpse and pull out what can only be Bruce Waynes Skull and chants the Black Lanterns oath to create the zombie Batman...

"
The Blackest Night falls from the skies,
The darkness grows as all light dies,
We crave your hearts and your demise,
By my black hand
The dead shall rise!"

Back to be part of this battle is Blackhand and he is rumored to be pairing up with some other Superheroes from the DC Universe.. These are the Heroes that will be Black Lanterns:

Eath-Two Superman

The Martian Man-Hunter

Aquaman

Firestorm

This Series starts July, I know I will be looking forward to Blackest Night.

"Drag me to Hell" wasen't Dragging..

Sam Raimi's horror background has put out some of the greatest movies any horror fan can enjoy. So personally when I heard about "Drag me to Hell" I couldn't have been more excited. Raimi kept up with his bizarre way of scaring you but also making you laugh at the same time. In "Drag me to Hell" Alison Lohman's charater is cursed by an old gypsy and has only a few days to find a way to get rid of this curse. The movie keeps you on the edge of your feet and still has the humor of "Army of Darkness" and "The Evil Dead". I would recommend any fans of Sam Raimi's previous work to go check out "Drag me to Hell". You won't be disappointed

Friday the 13th

I have been a huge fan of the "Friday the 13th" series since I was a little kid, so it was natural for me to be very excited about the remake. Over all I don't think the remake was to bad. It kept with the very same ideas as most of the movies and took the ideas from 1, 2 and 3 and in a way meshed them together to form this darker smarter Jason who lured his victims in to traps and mind tricks. I did feel some of the story was lacking from this one but also made up for it by the way todays Jason was more demented and had a pseudo hunters instinct. I have yet to see the Killer Cut version but can't wait to buy it this weekend. I also have heard rumors about the next "Friday the 13th" to be in a winter/snow season and Jason will have more sickening and darker ways to kill his next opponents. Over all I give the "Friday the 13th" remake two severed thumbs up. It has what all "Friday the 13th's" have, Breast, Blood, and a good look for another film.
