NEW NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET TRAILER (in GLORIOUS HD)
So I cannot stress how excited I am for this movie. Not to mention how much I hated the original... no that Robert Englund wasn't a bad Freddy, but the original movies were so campy and not what I really wanted out of that movie. Although they did scare the poop nuggets out of me when I was 10. Jackie Earle Haley seems to really grasped the scare factor I want out of these movies ... wait yeah I know I haven't seen the freakin movie yet .. but if you don't believe me then check this shit out:

WELCOME to 2010

Its been a long while since I've posted any good horror updates. My lifes been a little hectic but I am back on board with my first update for 2010. Lionsgate has picked up the independent thriller "Buried" with Ryan Reynolds...
I can't be more stoked for this for the simple reasons of :
1) its fucking Ryan Reynolds
and
2) it reminds me of the 90's B-movie with Tim Matheson "Buried Alive"
I look forward to this one .. as should you!!!

Across the Hall Trailer
I stumbled across this trailer a few minutes ago on BD
and it looks incredibly suspenseful. Brittany Murphy looking hot is apparently cheating on her husband who finds out and steals his bestfriends gun ( who is no other then Eric Rivers from Grind) to make an example of her.. And things just get more intense from there.. Check it out

Stepfather

Dylan Walsh, in most roles I've seen him play has always come across as a "nice guy" which he plays in this movie like the original but seeing the "other" side played by Walsh really was shocking.. and I mean that in a good way. Walsh is one sick fucker in the remake of this classic 70's suspense/thriller. The PG-13 rating does keep this movie from potential that would make it more entertaining for the slasher fans (like myself) out there. Don't get me wrong this movie is wayyy under rated for what it is. In the remake category it is probably lacking a few key elements that hinder away from keeping this one like the original (rating being my key note here). Overall I enjoyed this movie very much, it has a solid story and a great cast. Penn Badgley plays a great role and steps up as a man should when a raving psycho is trying to bone your mom. I recommend this movie for anyone who wants to see a classic remake done well... oh and of course if you want to see the sexy Amber Heard in her undies and in a skimpy bikini GROWWWWL:
